Two 17-year-old boys have died after being stabbed in Milton Keynes, police have said.

Two men were also injured in the incident in the town and are in hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Thames Valley Police said officers were called just before midnight on Saturday following reports of a stabbing.

One 17-year-old boy died at the scene, while the other was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died later.

There have been no arrests and the victims’ next of kin have been told.

Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter said: “Thames Valley Police is in the early stages of a double murder investigation after two teenage boys have tragically died in this shocking incident.

“Our priorities at this time are to conduct a thorough investigation and to support those who have been affected.

“Officers are currently at the scene which has been cordoned off and members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
