The Mandalorian only dropped on Disney+ earlier this week but Jon Favreau has already confirmed that it will be returning for a second inning.
The 53-year-old actor, who serves as a director and an executive producer on the first Star Wars spin-off, announced the exciting new just hours after ‘Baby Yoda’ broke the internet.
Sharing a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the forthcoming sequel, Jon wrote alongside a picture of the lead character’s helmet: ‘Greetings from the set of #TheMandalorian season 2.’
Unsurprisingly, fans were thrilled by Jon’s revelation and rushed to comment, with one enthusing: ‘Loved the first episode, can’t wait for what’s in store!’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another wrote: ‘Can’t wait for the next episodes of season 1! Congrats to you and the team.’
