Peter Crouch believes Liverpool’s Merseyside derby mauling will not have gone down well with Mohamed Salah.
Salah was given a rare night off as Jurgen Klopp’s men swept aside hapless Everton at Anfield.
Klopp dropped the Egyptian and Roberto Firmino to the bench as Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri were handed starts.
Origi scored twice while Shaqiri also found the net in the 5-2 win, which saw Liverpool continue their unbeaten start to the season.
But former England striker Crouch thinks Salah will have wanted to be involved in the action.
“I think he will be fuming to be on the bench,” Crouch said on Amazon Prime.
“He will want to be part of that team. He has aspirations for the Golden Boot, we know what he is like.
“He has gone from a winger to a selfish striker. He won’t be sat on the bench enjoying that performance.
