Manchester United have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race to sign German forward Timo Werner.
The RB Leipzig forward star has refused to rule out a switch abroad in the future, despite only just signing a new deal at the Bundesliga club.
The Germany international forward was long linked with a switch to Bayern Munich, but should he opt to leave Germany then Liverpool were said to be at the front of the queue to sign the 23-year-old.
However according to the Express , Ole Gunner Solskjaer, the under-pressure United boss, is believed to be eyeing up the striker to bolster his own attacking ranks.
It is understood that Solskjaer is keen on Werner as an alternative option to Mario Mandzukic, who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford from Juventus .
