Jamie Vardy continued his latest red-hot streak to inflict fresh pain on Watford but the Leicester striker endured mix fortunes from VAR.

Vardy was booked in the first half for going down in the box as he unsuccessfully appealed for a spot-kick when replays showed contact.

VAR backed referee Craig Pawson’s decision and supported the official again after the break when he finally did point to the spot after Adam Masina caught Jonny Evans in the face.

This decision looked even less of a penalty than the first-half incident but Vardy kept his cool amid the fiasco before burying his attempt.
