Danny Welbeck was jeered by Tottenham fans after picking up an injury in Watford’s Premier League clash.
Former England and Arsenal striker Welbeck started for the Hornets as they sought their first win of the season so far.
But he went down injured after just 55 seconds after appearing to tweak his hamstring with nobody around him.
Welbeck clutched his hamstring and immediately signalled for treatment.
Watford brought on Gerard Deulofeu as a replacement but Tottenham fans jeered and taunted Welbeck as he made his way off.
Tottenham fans were criticised for their antics, with many hitting out at the ‘lack of class’ on show.
Watford did take the lead in the clash though as Abdoulaye Doucoure struck early on.
Welbeck’s career has been plagued by injuries before he completed a free transfer to Watford in the summer.
