Danny Rose has admitted Tottenham wanted to sell him in the summer – but now insists he will run down his Spurs deal.
Rose has been told he will not be offered fresh terms in north London with his current contract set to expire at the end of next season.
Despite the situation – Rose insists he still has the full support of manager Mauricio Pochettino – although the England international admits he has made “quite a few mistakes” this season.
Spurs were open to bids for Rose in the off-season but the former Leeds defender insists there were no bids for his services.
Rose was absent from Tottenham’s pre-season trip to Asia in July with Spurs saying the reason was for him “to explore prospective opportunities with other clubs”.
The 29-year-old is currently on international duty with England ahead of Euro 2020 qualifiers against Montenegro and Kosovo.
