On-loan Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has reportedly held talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez regarding his future.
The Spanish youngster joined the Gunners on a season-long loan this summer and has enjoyed an impressive start to life in north London.
His deal does not have an option to buy with the midfielder previously expected to head back to the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
But according to El Desmarque , Ceballos met with Perez this week to discuss his future and remains “hopeful” that a deal can be agreed to allow him to join Arsenal on a permanent basis.
Ceballos is said to be prioritising a permanent move to Arsenal and has asked Perez to meet with the Gunners in January to discuss a deal.
However, he is concerned that Perez may scupper the deal and insist on keeping the highly-rated playmaker.
